True On-Time Delivery Commitment
What is TITAN True On-Time? It is our customer satisfaction metric. Where conventional on-time calculations utilized by our competitors only track whether a shipment had a delivered status entered on the day of delivery, the TITAN True On-time tracks six different service failures. If we’re late, even by one minute, to an appointment or a Guaranteed Delivery time they are not considered On-time. If a partial shipment was delivered but not the whole shipment, it is not considered On-time. All of these shipments would be considered on-time with conventional calculations but the True On-time measures whether we met our customers expectations and in these cases we didn’t. Like other carriers, we also track shipments that didn’t deliver the day they were supposed to but unlike other carriers, even if we schedule a delivery appointment for the shipment the next day, it’s still considered not on-time. We also know that the pick up of the freight is just as critical as the delivery so we added our sixth metric of missed pickups to our True On-time calculation. Our team works very hard to ensure that every shipment delivers On-time but any service failures, company-wide, are discussed daily during our Daily Operations Meeting. Root cause analysis is used to determine the cause of the failure and any necessary training or changes in procedures are implemented. This high standard makes it difficult to achieve a high True On-time percentage but through our commitment to Quality, Safety, & Service, we’re usually able to hit our high standard goal of 98% almost every month.
